A true giant among pumpkins that needs plenty of space and a warm season. Developed specifically for competitive growing due to its extremely vigorous trailing habit. Should be pinched back to one fruit per plant.
For home gardening, this variety can reach a weight of 50-150 kg and requires a plant spacing of at least 150cm and row spacing of 250-350cm. Around 7-10 square meters per plant.
For competitive growing, the goal is often between 200-400 kg. This requires an enormous area, between 40-90 square meters per plant. To achieve these extreme weights, the plant must be severely thinned, leaving only one fruit per plant.
Fun fact: This particular variety holds the world record for giant pumpkins. The largest specimens have weighed over 1000 kg.
